On September 21st & 22nd author Shaun Nigro and I attended our first event outside of the state of Maine. This event featured some really interesting special guests, including Kevin Eastman (creator of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) and a plethora of other turtles actors, artists and such. When we booked this event we didn't realize just how focused this event was to their 40th reunion. Needless to say, this wasn't our demographic. Some of these events are better than others, but our main focus isn't on making money. We want to grow our readership. That's where you, the readers come in. We can sink a fortune into marketing and go to every event until the end of time, but what really makes a difference is word of mouth and reviews. Amazon reviews and Goodreads are the places that matter the most. Amazon makes our books more visible if we pass fifty reviews. On Oct 4th through the 6th we will be at Bangor Comic & Toy Con, where we will be featured on a panel with a handful of other Maine authors. This has been a dream and career goal of mine for a long time, so I can't express how excited and terrified I am. Shaun is doing the final touches on his second Sci-fi collection The Seed II. My book Without Saying Goodbye has been postponed by a little bit. I now hope to release it at some point in December.

All she wanted was to save her friend, so she made a deal with the darkness, but her good intentions came with a steep cost, and it's so much more than she bargained for.Magick always comes with a price. This is the lesson that Alex Hendricks, a young practitioner, learns when she is forced to confront a terrifying entity set on claiming her soul for his own. Secrets from her past are revealed, and she must decide whether to meet the entity's demands or sacrifice herself, allowing him to end her life and condemn her to eternal torment. But, will it be enough to save her life and retain command of her own soul?Note From the Author: Dealings in the Dark is a horror novella that deals with the dangerous consequences of magick usage.
