As some of you may already know, when I'm not writing fiction, I sometimes work on indie films. This year, during the 48-hour film festival, fellow writer and friend Shaun Nigro and I decided to help Through the Door rather than compete as 8Sparks Media, which we did last year. Well, we put together a comedic little film called Heart of Duckness. 

Creating a film, even a small one like this, can be a lot of work. We all wore many hats. During this film, I did the make-up for one of the actors Tim Ryan. You may recognize him from our short film Cathedral. I also helped make one of the props (a demon duck) and puppet it. While I don't consider myself much of an actor, I did make a small cameo in this short. I was an extra, not a speaking role. 

Upcoming:

I've been working on my latest novel, which is titled Out of body, out of time. It's a Young Adult Horror story about Astral Projection. Currently, that project is about 3/4 of the way finished on its rough draft. I'd like to have it finished by the end of the year. I've also been working on some freelance writing projects. I will be able to speak more about those in the future. 

The Queen City Expo is the first weekend of October in Bangor. I will have a table there.

At this time, we don't have any updates on our next short film Nora. We're still working on it... be patient.
