Lobster Stew
48 Hours, 1 genre, 1 prop, 1 character name and 1 line of dialogue all chosen for you. This was the challenge that we found ourselves with. Shaun and I went to work in those 48 hours. He wrote the script, directed and starred alongside his mother and sister. I played a role, helped with makeup and props. I've never done much with film before and enjoyed the comradery of it. The other teams that we competed against were nice and very talented. We got to watch this film premier on the big screen along with the other teams we were up against. We also got to go to an awards ceremony where we won "Best use of genre" which was cool. We have another one of these film festivals coming up next month. It's a nice change of pace from writing prose fiction for more than a decade.
POCKETFUL OF POSIES
I've also recently had an anthology release, which is always exciting. There are three volumes to this series. I'm in the one called PAPER TOMBS. I've written a short story about two kids who embark on an adventure with their grandpa to a theme park where they encounter the paranormal and safety violations alike. Check out my short story "Aqualand".
Aside from that, I'm working on the sequel to A Girl Named Mishka. It doesn't currently have a title, but I think it's coming along well. I have no release date in mind at the moment. I won't choose that until I'm much closer to the end. Keep the dream alive- Clarence Carter
