What a month...

The impractical jokers comedy show

If you've flipped through cable television at all in the past few years, you've likely come across the impractical jokers TV show. Well, they also do a tour with their comedy troop called The Tenderloins. They travel across the country and put on a hilarious show. Lucky for us, it came to Maine. My wife and I also attended another comedy show, Kevin Hart. Both of these shows were exceptional and I highly recommend seeing them if you get the chance. Recently we also attended Portland comic and toy con. I'd never been to a convention before, so I didn't know what to expect. I certainly wasn't expecting to bump elbows with celebrities. I'm not one to name drop *cough* Rachael MacFarlane. *cough* Jason Marsden. *cough* Kane Hodder. *cough* Ryan Hurst. *cough*. At the convention, I stopped at two booths that were local authors. It's important to network. I met them, bought their books and followed them on social media. I've even read one of the three books I purchased that day. The people were really nice and gave me some helpful advice. I'm hoping to have a booth of my own some day. With the recent release of Paramnesia, I don't have much going on at the moment. Slowly, I've been working on my upcoming novel Without Saying Goodbye. It's coming along well, three drafts so far. It's going off to my critique group in the near future. Upcoming: There are two anthologies underway. I don't have any updates on them yet. One is an anthology called Bad Spirits, which will feature my cryptid horror story Quiet Desperation. The other is another horror anthology called Home Sweet Horror, which will feature another cryptid story called Nae Salang, Nae Agmong (My love, my nightmare.) When I get updates concerning them, I will let you know. If you'd like to check out my website www.clarencecarterauthor.com. All of my books are available on Amazon, some are on Audible. If you decide to read, please leave a review. They mean more than you know. Until next time readers - Clarence Carter
