3 Days at Portcon!!!

The accidental book tour
This year, fellow author Shaun Nigro and I have been doing a lot of events. I don't know for sure how many, but we're currently in the double digits. It can be fun, can be rewarding but it can also be exhausting. Right now, we're in the middle of our stint at Porton in the Maine Mall. When attending events like this I always feel a bit out of touch. There are a lot of people wearing these brilliant and creative costumes that I have no idea who the characters are. This convention has a special focus on anime, which I know nothing about. It is cool to have our own little corner shared with a few other authors, though. We've also been gearing up for our next season of The Writers Block Podcast. This season we plan on having a handful of guests on to tell wild and funny tales. There may also be some new 8Spasks Stories coming in the near future. As for me, I've been listening to auditions for the audio version of my novelette Mr. Thorpe's Bell. Thus far, I haven't decided who the narrator will be. There have been a handful of auditions that I've been combing through. I plan on putting out my next Young Adult novel late this year. It's about the troubled teen industry. That's all for now, keep reading friends.
